Alex Mauricio brings serious MiLB experience to Cosmic Baseball after six seasons in the New York Yankees organization. He reached AAA in 2024 with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, posting a 2.39 ERA in 49 innings with 53 strikeouts. He carries a career 3.72 ERA across 212.2 Minor League innings with 212 strikeouts. The Yankees draft pick also played three seasons at Norfolk State (2015–17), earning Conference MVP honors in his junior year before being drafted. Mauricio retired from baseball in 2019 but returned in 2022 because of the kids he coaches at Vertex Performance and RISE Baseball.
