Jaylen Smith was drafted by the Phillies out of high school in the 29th round in 2018 and spent three seasons in their system playing rookie ball. He played Indy Ball in 2022 and 2023 and struck out 69 in 71.1 innings across six teams. He played with Marcus Judd last season on the Eastside Diamond Hoppers and won the USPBL Championship.
