The Tri-City Chili Peppers are engaging the next generation of baseball players and fans with their new Kids Club. For $25, children ranging from two to 14 can join the Chili Peppers Kids Club.

“This is brand new,” team owner Chris Martin said about the Kids Club. “We want families and adults to come out to the ballpark and have a good time.”

Kids Club will be introduced to the Tri-City community this Saturday, April 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the Kids Club Launch Party. Families are invited to come out to the Colonial Heights Chick-Fil-A to sign their children up for Kids Club and enjoy the festivities, including entertainment, select vendors, bounce houses, and an appearance by team mascot Blaze. Attendees of the Kids Club Launch Party will also get the chance to interact with Chili Peppers staff and Head Coach.

“It’s to introduce the kids to Kids Club and build up some excitement,” Martin said. “It’s to get the kids out there and get them active.”

Each Kids Club member gets six regular-season tickets for Chili Peppers games, as well as access to two exclusive pre-game warmups where they will have the chance to warm up alongside the Chili Peppers players. While attending games, Kids Club members can hang out at the Kids Zone. Children who are signed up for Kids Club will receive a t-shirt, hat, and membership card, and will be eligible for other giveaways and Kids Club parties throughout the upcoming season.

“We want to be an area that the community can gather around,” marketing coordinator Ben Rose said. “We really want our Kids Club to be a foundational piece of building up that family community.”

Saturday’s Kids Club Launch Party gives local families the opportunity to sign their kids up for the inaugural year of the Chili Peppers Kids Club and introduce them to the team before the Tri-City Chili Peppers season starts on May 26.
